Haven’t had time to get that crown? Well, if you are a candidate, now all you may need is 1 day!
A crown is a fixed prosthetic device that is used to cover a damaged tooth and lasts a lifetime. Crowns are a great way to help improve your smile and they have come a long way since they were first developed.
Crowns generally take two separate visits for a patient. With two visit crowns, the first visit involves the dentist preparing the tooth, taking the impressions, and placing a temporary crown. Once the crown was made, which usually took two weeks, the second visit was scheduled for the crown to finally be placed. Today, with the help from advanced technology, crowns now only need one visit to be done right!
Here’s how we do 1-Day Crowns at Dental Innovations:
Our CAD/CAM technology uses a camera, computer, and CNC milling machine as an all-in-one dental lab.
The machine captures an image of the damaged tooth and eliminates the chance for uncomfortable alginate impressions.
The impression is then transferred and displayed on the computer screen where the dentist uses 3D technology to design the crown.
From there, the CAM creates the crown and then the dentist takes it and bonds it to the damaged tooth.
All in a single, one-hour visit!
